Leaves once or twice (rarely more) trilobed or trisected above a very narrow, petiole-like base (rarely the uppermost entire), 8–35 mm long, 5–25 mm wide, not or hardly folded; apices of segments obtuse. Involucral bracts linear, the longest 3.5–5.8 mm, evenly covered with spreading septate hairs, or these confined to the midrib or apical half, sessile glands present; ray florets mauve, ligules 1.5–2.5 mm long. Cypsela narrowly cuneate, sometimes shortly tapered near apex, 3.5–4.5(–5.5) mm long, flattened, marginal ribs hardly raised but often broader than facial ones, surfaces with entire or minutely bifid eglandular hairs, glands apparent in upper part; pappus bristles barbellate, the longest 4–6 mm long
