Two subspecies with one subspecies, Centranthus ruber subsp. ruber, naturalised in Victoria. Centranthus ruber subsp. sibthorpii differs from Centranthus ruber subsp. ruber by its lanceolate, entire and non-amplexicaul upper leaves. Profile provided under subspecies.
